What is nutritional therapy and how does it work?
Nutritional Therapy:
- Nutritional therapy is a lifestyle-focused therapy that revolves around the individual as a whole.
- Nutritional therapy can serve as an additional support for those with chronic illnesses.
- Nutritional therapy is an important tool for those who, for example, want to lose weight in a healthy and sustainable way.
- The current busy lifestyle poses challenges for most of us, regardless of age or gender.
- Chronic illnesses and so-called lifestyle diseases, hormonal imbalances, pregnancy, planned pregnancy, and various specialized diets require even more suitable and nutritious diets combined with other health-promoting lifestyle factors.
The process:
- The decision to make changes in one’s lifestyle is always significant, but rarely something one regrets.
- Effective lifestyle changes are made over the long term and require both work and patience.
- The work process doesn't have to be radical - small steps often lead to big changes.
- For me, nutritional therapy means holistic thinking. When working with a client, I start by looking at their diet, but I also take into account other factors such as medical history, existing illnesses, allergies or medication, as well as sleep, exercise, and stress.
- I see the person as a whole that needs to be treated comprehensively.
- Often, the best approach is to identify the underlying reasons for the symptoms that have led the client to seek help, and then develop a treatment plan.
- With me, every client feels heard and seen, and I tailor the treatment according to individual needs.
